This student comes from a family with an agricultural background. His parents, younger brother and younger sister together work on farming a small piece of land that they have taken on lease. The profit is shared with the landowner. The student's father is unwell and he is unable to do much work of late. With the help of funds from the grandparents and an uncle, the student has managed to pay the fees so far. But he is still short of Rs. 25,000 to pay the fees for his third year of an engineering degree in Computer Science. The college has said that the student is keen on his students. After a review, Aalayam has decided to provide assistance of Rs. 25,000 towards the fees.
